    Looking for BT3000/3100 history/Time Line

    Need More Data! Please respond.
Please help this compilation. I'm thinking about making a Timeline showing
BT models and cost vs time.

Post the date of manufacture (four digit number like 9936) which tells us the year and week of manufacture. (found on the manufacturers plate on the back of your saw.

    Model number (e.g. BT3000, BT3100, 22811)

How much you paid for the base saw if you got it new.

I'd be curious if we could track manufactured quantities by S/N.
Optionally provide you S/N. Its optional because it might eb considered "personal info" and its a big number usually.

    Loring,

I'll get you the info tonight. You might want to add in what blade it came with (Italy vs. China) to place taht change in the timeline as well.

Can't add the ser# because the saw is gone. But I do know it was 9932, BT3000SX, and cost 399.99 new at Lowes in november of 1999.

          Here ya go!

My BT is a BT3000SX manufacturing date was 0103.

I picked it up at the BORG with a price match ($256.04, including Tax) with (Lowes) that was clearencing them out because Home Depot had gotten an exclusive for the Ryobi line of WW Tools.

              BT3100-1 Purchased Aug/sept 2005. Proce: $299 - 10% coupon at Home Depot.

              Blade is made in China

              ser# X050531946

Looks like the date code is now part of the serial number?

BT3100-1, SN=X034658464, purchased May 2004 for $299 + tax, plus mail-in offer for free accessory kit. The saw was worth every penny but I got screwed on the postage stamp.

                  Italian Ryobi-branded blade.

Where's the build-date code? I didn't see that. Only other codes/numbers in view were E48647 and 43F1, just to the left of the SN and oriented vertically on the tag.

I think, the first four numbers of the SN are for the build date. year: 03, week:46.
I bought my BT3100-1 last week for CAD $399. Date code: 0512. The original blade was made in China.
