This SMT fence add-on comes in handy for a number of uses, such as non-thru-cut crosscuts. I also use this type of sacrificial fence for cutting lap joints for torsion boxes, etc. It acts as a backer board to alleviate tearout.

It's just a couple pieces of 3/4" baltic birch, butt-joined with glue. The parts are sized such that it doesn't get in the way of the SMT clamp. I plan to add a t-track on top to make attaching stop blocks a little easier.
As the end gets chewed up, I cut it off and slide the fence down. The attachment bolt holes are spaced out every 5" so there are always two at 10" apart for attachment.
Regards,
Tom
