Got 2'x5' baltic birch plywood at Rocker for $15. (50%). Almost same price
as melamine at HD. So, went for it...

Doesn't the shipping kill you when ordering wood?

Rockler, Woodcraft, HD, Lowes, Ace and few other lumbers are within 10 miles range from my home. Good for me but not good for my wallet

We have HD and Lowes. The Ace's are pretty much junk and as far as I know we have no real woodworking stores.

if you cut the rails wrap the spot you are cutting with a piece of masking tape. The cut will come out much smoother. Why, I don't have a clue. I read about this in a magazine. I've tried it a couple of times and it works great.
