Such A Deal ! Handy Man Club of America

Such A Deal ! Handy Man Club of America-

Got their envelope in the mail today-
"Will you do us a favor and Test Tools?"
    "Keep Everything You Test FREE!"

This just made my day- when I saw the Postage Paid Return Envelope !
Here was my chance to help out our financially strapped Post Office

I googled their name and as suspected the third entry down was from Rip Off Report http://www.ripoffreport.com.

So I printed out three pages and along with some of the HCOA literature crammed it all into their return envelope so our Postal Service can charge them.

Here's a link to my tale of the Handyman Club

This forum is for any topic that you would normally talk about at the office "around the coffee pot". Jokes, tall tales, and true stories are welcome as long as they are clean and in good taste. I only ask that you steer away from topics on religion or politics. Go ahead and pull up a chair and pour yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy the conversation.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. - Thomas Edison

I Never waste a good prepaid envelope that comes with junk mail. I try to cram as much weight in as I can so the return is at a high cost. One of my favorites is AARP.
Junk mailers pay about 39 cents postage for each return envelope, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE USED. If thrown in the trash, it costs them NOTHING !!!

Here's some interesting sites on this issue:

Stuff their papers back into the envelope along with any other trash mail. Make sure you remove your name and address. Add a generous squirt of carpenters glue to everything you put in the envelope to make them work to see if it is a sucker signing up. Maybe put in a hand full of rusty nails or burned up drill bits to give it some more weight.

I used to get their offers all the time. I've got a small collection of plastic drill size templates, carpenters pencils (that I don't use), 6" rulers, and some small plastic drafting templates. It's been a while...maybe they figured out I'm not interested.

I agree with most everything that has been posted here but be wary of postal regulations about mailing dangerous materials.

I agree wholeheartedly. Even writing on the envelope razor blades inside isn't authorized.

I thought so ( ) but posted the warning just in case. I've been told that injuries to mail carriers are not taken lightly.
