looks to be the same drill press table that grizzly sells for $40

Just a so-so table in my opinion.
but of course you get the other stuff for a few bucks more.

That is a better deal, nice find. I do disagree with your assesment of it being a so so table though. I bought one a few years ago from MLCS for $80 and have been very happy with it._________________________

That is what I am thinking too. Besides there is third alternative at Harbor Freight. I have one, and only difference is color, plus it is even cheaper and always 20% coupons floating around.looks to be the same drill press table that grizzly sells for $40

The HF unit is particle board whereas the OP mentioned unit is MDF. Personally I know I would rather have the MDF, very stable even in my climate. The particle board has a nasty habit of degrading too quickly. JMHOThat is what I am thinking too. Besides there is third alternative at Harbor Freight. I've always made my own tables...seem to work just fine. Used plywood with HPL, or MDF, or even Melamine.

Hmm, just went to my shop to double check. It is MDF, not particle board. I bought it year or two ago. Did they change the material?Comment
