Tommy, tried to find the receipt but could not find it. Wife cleaned up my stack of paper on the computer desk and afraid it might have gotten thrown out. I'll keep looking and will post a pic of the receipt if I do find it.

    regards,
    Chris

I wrote down the model number and inquired at our local HD. Didn't see any on display or in overhead bins. They said it was $118 online only. Thanks and I moved on.

Would be nice for odd jobs but for me not a gotta have....unless I could get it for 34 bux.
    Thanks!

I have the jawhorse and one thing i notice off the bat is the larger 'vise' area, which is nice to have for clamping, and a flat overhang which would be nice to better supporting some sort of table top you may clamp in the vise...

Don't know if that really is worth the extra cost though...

I have the Portamate version (I posted a bargain alert when they were closed out at Menards for $78). I'd say $40 is a GREAT deal for these. Love them. LOVE them.

However, I have takan a close look at the Rockwell version, and I think it's a MUCH better version. But not $150 better.

The Ridgid also looks to be a close cousin to:

    Portamate Megavise

    Triton Superjaws

I have a Jawhorse and I find it handy to have as a quick worktable. I can clamp a 2' x 4' piece of plywood as a table and not worry about it tipping. It's on the heavy side, but it doesn't take up as much room as using two sawhorses.

I have no experience with the other brands, but if you can snag one at $34 you should grab two.
