    Craftsman 21829 $364.99 + Free in-store Pickup

    http://www.sears.com/craftsman-profe...p-00921829000P

    Price breakdown as follows:
    • $499.99 - 15% off select tools (no code, just add to cart) = $424.99
    • Apply code SAVEONTOOLS to take another $60 off = $364.99
    • Add your state tax + S&H or choose free in-store pickup

Total for me including CA tax and pickup in-store was $396.93. I almost bit at $424 but the $60 off code made it a no-brainer.

That's the best price I've seen on that saw in a long time. Hope it works out for any who've been sitting on the fence....

I burnt the motor up in my Bt3000 last weekend, would this be a suitable substitute. I have been debating wheithe to replace the motor or buy something new. i really loved my bt had it aroung 12 yrs. or would i be better off to find a used cabinet saw or the ridgid table saw.any advice would be helpfull. i am finishing my basement and will need to start building cabinets in about 3-6 months.

The 21829 is the current version of the BT3x00 saw. Yes it would be a suitable substitute...

Yep, most every BT accessory will work with the 21829. There are a few differences, but everything important will be OK.

If i recall correctly, most TS manuals expressly discourage sitting on the fence--at least while the machine is running!!

The saw shown in the picture of the link provided shows the model with the older blade guard. They came out with a newer version that is more like the Shark Guard. The difference is considerable, so if you order one, be sure to ask if is the newest version. Sears is known for "unloading" older models without letting anyone know the newer versions are out. I posted pictures of the saw with the newer guard here:

Just thought I would mention it.

Thanks GerryR for the information. I will be sure to check this when I pick up the unit.

New to table saws so I am hoping it is as good as I see everyone talking about it.

                      More cash back
If you also sign up for forum Fat Wallet they have some reciprocal deal with merchants where you get more cash back. I have been part of their forum for years. With Sears its an additional cash back of 4.0% on all purchases.

So, it saved me an additional $14.68 or so.

I think my chase cc also has the 4.0% cash back thing also through the online website.

                      Thanks,

                      Snedman
