missing a few specs like HOW MUCH MEMORY does it have.
Also seems a bit large compared to a mini IPOD. Probably due to the large battery but who needs 100 hours continuous run time?

Loring, it appears to have 2GB of memory.

Here's a site and it's cheaper than HD at 14.97. Haven't check on shipping, so it may vary.

edit: free shipping and it's at the HD store. My bad...

        2GB according to spec sheet

The info on it (PDF) says 2GB ... I ordered one ... the charger and battery are worth $10, shipping was free ...

A year or so ago, this was offered free if you purchased one or more of the TEK4 tools. (I had purchased the "scope" at that time.)

In any case, it's a good bargain at that price and I think it's probably worth $30 or even $40 dollars, but certainly not worth the MSRP of $60 or $70.

Memory is 2Gb (IIRC), but the technolody is ridiculousy poor for just an MP3 player. Setting aside the TEK4 battery use and the shock/dust/moisture resistance touted features, this thing is really too large. It is also feature-less when compared to my several-year-old Sandisk "Sansa", which is much smaller, has comparable memory, and includes an FM radio, equalizer, stop watch, LCD, and menu selections for all features as well as specific album, song, artist, etc. kind of selection.

All this TEK4 player offers is 2Gb of storage and either random or serial music playback.... no LCD or other indicator, no menu, no specific selection guide at all. It's like filling a bucket with your favorite music and simply dumps out one song at a time either randomly or in the order in which it was put in.
