Got one. In Minneapolis, the Plymouth store was the only one at $36. All of the others were at $85.

        In four of the N. California stores, I see $71 - $89.98.

Try going to the Sunnyvale store even though it says $89.98 online. I got one there on Saturday for $35.99. The shelf was marked at that price and it rang up at that price. They are not with the saw blades, they are under the Kreg equipment. There were two there when I left. Good luck.

FWIW This is not the top of the line CMT dado set, however it is made in Italy and not bad for the lower price, just be careful when aligning your chippers to get a proper sized cut.

How does this set compare to the Freud set? They look to be the same thing.

I wouldn't think so, but if it's around the same quality as the Freud 200-series, under $40 is pretty good if you can find it.

Stopped at Lowe's after picking up my sandpaper purchase at Sears (thanks Tommy)--the ash i got over the weekend is really rough and mostly too wide for the 6"planer so i waffled between learning to use a jack plane or buying a 3" electric tool and i wanted to look. That said....

As i drifted in and out of the aisle i came across 2 CMT Dado sets marked at $68.97, down from $89.xx. Tool manager walked by so i asked when the next markdown was scheduled as i'd heard prices under $40 in some areas of the country. He looked, said he saw nothing scheduled but would do a set at $40 if i wanted it. Yep. And i bought the Bosch PL 1682 planer for $95 'cuz the dado set was cheap.

Is this a great country or what?? 97 degrees at 5 pm, and i'm headed home to plane some ash--what a great Monday!!!

My local store just lowered the price to $15.00. I ordered two online for in store pickup.

Thanks for the "heads up" - one of the local stores lowered the price to $8. Now, to see if I will actually get it.

Great deal at that $8-15 dollar price, tho don't be disappointed if you get an e-mail saying they couldn't fill your request. I would have gone directly to that store immediately and bought the entire stock at that price and resold whatever I had purchased to cover gas and time cost,(yea right, sound like someone else)They have beeen droppin the price everywhere lately ,heres one in W. Marietta @ $12.60,http://www.lowes.com/pd_103028-10314...RL=&facetInfo= , but now I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, the other larger blades as they seem to be lowering them as well. If you grabbed one before keep your receipt cause they'll refund the difference on a lower price in 30 days

Are the web prices accurate? If so, the price for my local stores was actually increased. I was hoping I could get a price match for the blade from the $35 I paid to $8, but now they're all showing $44. Either way, I'm happy to have gotten mine for $35. It's just odd though.

I ordered the $8 online, and it was actually waiting for me when I got there

BTW, one "trick" I have heard about Lowes is that they need your permission to cancel the order. If you don't give them permission, they will have to find one at another store or order one to fill the order.

Will pick up the $13 tonight.

Each store showed only one in stock, so no buying and reselling here.

I have noticed, though, that when people have tried that in the past around here, the items don't seem to sell on Craigs list. One guy apparently got around six of the $100 JT360 jointers at Lowes a few years back, finally sold one for $125, seems to still have the others and keeps dropping his price trying to sell them. I might buy another when he gets to $50
