    A funny thing happened...

So the day I get back from my trip, I turn on my computer and then about a couple minutes later "pop pop pop" goes the power supply. Anyway I'm back on and other than the PS there appears to have been no damage. So how do we close on this router kit?

I'm talking the Home Depot special order desk prices, not the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) which may indeed have been $99 for the router kit.
I bought mine before the exclusive deal with Home Depot. This was before Lowes bought out Eagle Hardware in the Northwest.

Give me a couple of days to be ready to ship. I am working doubles this week. Simply put, donate the promised funds to BT3Central via a membership, and once Mark (Black Wallnut) or Sam verifies the funds are in, I ship the package out.

Glad to do so too. I have 2 of them, and my shop is getting awfully cramped...

          I'll bid $35. If it's still open.

If no one else has any objections, I will say we are not closed here and have a $35.00 bid on the table...

If we call the "gone" when a patronage subscription is purchased then I would call this still open unless akronee indicates that he snail mailed it and it is received within two weeks with a post mark of yesterday.

That said in the futue we should post going, going, gone and funds should be submitted via the link. Even with that there can be a processing delay for several days using Paypal.

                Didn't expect this

I thought that when dbhost said to give him two days, he meant before I pay up. Certainly if I thought making the contribution was what would close the auction, I would have made it yesterday.

Please let me think about if I want to continue.

I am thinking re-reading the posts that It seems to me we closed this with Akronee's $30.00 bid. But I must admit I have confused myself. It's been a LONG couple of weeks for me busy wise, so no shock there...

Akronee, let me know if you are still interested... And I apologize for any confusion I may have caused... Blame it on an insane work schedule and too many big projects as of late...

Well I'm confused. During the previous auction for the router bits there was a call for any last bids. During any auction I have ever heard of that is the protocol. The bidder doesn't get to be the one to declare the bidding is over, as is the case here.

Dbhost: I thought you closed it at $30, but if you want to keep it open to raise more money for the site, I understand. If you do keep it open, please use the 'going, going, gone' or a close date for the auction, and I will consider it in that time frame if I want to bid higher. No worries.

It wasn't clearly closed, but in post 18 David talked about shipping and payment. Post 14 and 15 alluded to it being over as well. It's still all a little gray.

I'd say it's David's call since he put up the item to generate some cash for the site.

This is my fault due to attention being elsewhere guys...

I do not find anywhere in here where we called going, going gone... I thought I had prior to discussing the terms with Akronee, and that is the protocol after all... I deeply apologize to anyone I have confused with this. You are not alone as I managed to confuse myself... I can merely beg forgiveness as I have been turning in a few too many 16 hour shifts lately...

I will have to put a time limit on this...

                          So here goes.

Right now we have a $35.00 bid on the table from islippin. Do we have a counter?

IF no counters are made within 24 hours, or 4:20 P.M. Central time Monday June 11 2012, assume the first going is called at that time, and each 24 hours consecutive until 4:20 P.M. on Wednesday June 13 2012. At that time, we will call it gone...

I bid $40. I thought about it, and yes, I do want it.
