    10" Powermatic with Biesemeyer fence - Austin - $1000

    http://austin.craigslist.org/tls/2850181453.html

I wish I had $1000 laying around. Looks like he's motivated to sell based on his OBO language below.

Way overpriced, maybe worth half that IMO. Might go as high as $700 if in immaculate condition.

I'll second that saw being overpriced. That saw was about $900 new

that's just a contractor saw not even a cabinet saw.

what do you mean "just a contractor's saw"? that's a powermatic! there are woodworkers who get weak in the knees at the mere mention of the name! you mean you wouldn't grossly overpay for that saw?
there's a solution to every problem.......you just have to be willing to find it.

I own a PowerMatic 64A! This one looks like it might be a model 63 - and the table extensions are not solid like mine. Way overpriced at $1000! As I recall my saw was made in Taiwan - not USA like the cabinet saws of that generation. The fence is nice -a pleasure to use!

Are you out to buy a saw? This one, IMO is overpriced also. I've seen Unisaws and PM's between $500-$700 on occasion.

You posted it like asking if it was a good deal. At least that's the impression I got.
