A friend of mine is making a range of cyclone kits that can be attached to your dust extractor or shop vac. How does this compare to what you can get in the States?

I'm not too familiar with the cyclones, but it looks comprable to something like a Clearvue mini http://www.clearvuecyclones.com/cv06...ni-system.html

Smaller end Oneida Air Systems has their Dust Deputy. It looks bit cheaper than your friend's version and is assembled. I do think the ship flat assemble yourself sounds like a good idea for some cases, especially at the larger sizes.EricComment

I don't know about pricing, as I haven't compared to the Clearvue/Oneida offerings, but the product looks good and the flat pack DIY assembly is a great idea. I wish him luck.BillComment

cool idea the flat-shipped DIY packaging. One thing however is most cyclones have a cylinder part at the top and a cone part - this one may have some compromise being restricted to just a cone.
