Woodcraft May Sale - Rikon air filtration system $269

I just received the May 2011 Woodcraft sale flyer and this air filtration system (AFS) got my attention. I've been saving to purchase a Jet AFS 1000B and now I see this the flyer with the price on the Rikon down to $269.99 from $299.99 this is $70 dollars less than the Jet unit. Anybody had any experience with the RIKON 3-Speed Air Cleaner with Remote Control Model 61-200? I need an AFS for my garage/shop. Thanks.

Here is the link to the Rikon:

That one looks okay to me. I must admit though, when I think dust collection, and air filtration, Rikon is one of the last manufacturers that comes to mind. They just aren't that common...

If it is half as good as their band saws reputation, then that is a LOT of bang for the buck there...

My biggest concern would be filter availability... And are the filters washable? That can save you a ton of money, and headaches down the road...

I sent an email today to Rikon's Tech Support and their VP, Rod Burrow, responded the following:

" We have replacement filters on the way and should be here by the time new unit filters need replacing. There will be standard, electrostatic and charcoal prefilter options.

The filter sizes are standard and other brands will fit."

So this may be a good deal.

Snap it up... I know Rikon sells top notch stuff... And it's pretty hard to screw up an air filter...

                  I like the CFM's, dB's, and 5-Year Warranty.
                  Sounds good!
