Ridgid 18 volt lithium ion drill

I had Dewalt for over 10 years. Never had any problems except the cost of replacement batteries. One reason I went with the Ridgid is the batteries are also included in the LSA. It will be nice never having to buy another one.

I have read peoples complaints in the reviews concerning this. I think the problem was they did not register them properly. But it says pretty clearly in the warranty info that they are covered and included also.

Like my other Ridgid products and have had no issues as of yet. Bought them all for the warranty and good name.

I ordered one as I need a new 18V Drill. I will say that I was not happy with my last Ridgid set (angle impactor and drill). One battery died in less than a year the other battery dies after 15 minutes of light use. My dewalt batteries last years.

I bought two dewalt batteries last spring for my tools. After 8 months they will not hold a charge over night.

At least the new Ridgid warranty also covers the batteries for life, for the original owner. Make sure you send in the barcode off the box and a copy of the original receipt. The rest you can fill out to register online at Ridgid.Com

I am looking forward to never buying another battery again. Even if they weren't covered, the new price is about 1/2 that of the Dewalt.

Not wanting to be contradictory to the thread, but still wanting to contribute, I'll say that I pulled thr trigger on the Makita combo pack. It's the one with the impact driver, hammer drill, flashlight, recip saw, and a circular saw that was provided "free". It was a deal they had left over fromt he holidays. Anyways, it was about $370 after the HF 20% off coupon. I wasn't sure if I needed the circ saw or recip saw, but I figured I could sell them for the same as what I paid more for them- if not more.

Anyways, I think I made a good decision. The rest of the Rigid cordless tools aren't that cheap, and Makita's toold are REALLY nice. I saw skeptical on the saws, but they feel heavy duty for cordless. We'll see when I use them, but so far so good. I'm excited for the hammer drill too- gotta find a need for tapcons soon.

Recevied my drill today. Looks GREAT!!
Two batteries, charger and case were included. If Ridgid honors the warranty down the road this will serve as an excellent deal. To the OP thanks for posting!

Good for your guys! I also stimulated the economy Snagged the lxt as well from amazon at $273, but I had 75 in amazon cash so $198 w/ free shipping Can't wait to get it!
