    Finally pulled the trigger just a few minutes ago. Everytime I clean up a mortise I have wanted a real mortise chisel. I had been fighting this all week but couldn't stand the pain of twisting my own arm any longer. When I checked with SHMBO she said "Merry Christmas". Got to love that woman!
    I thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken.

        I've already got more mortise chisels than the law should allow, including a Ray Isles pigsticker, but I really need 3/16 & 5/16 for Greene & Greene ebony plugs.

        I've bought 2 supposedly 3/16" mortise chisels on ebay. One was a 5/32 and the other a 1/8.

        That whole set is about 1/2 what I paid for the Ray Isles.
