Jorgensen 64016 Precision Miter Saw, Don't miss this deal

Now for any of you bargain hunter that are searching for ultimate bragging right to getting the best deal ever, then I think that this one deserve a serious look. I mean, really, at the before asking price of $999.00, it was a pretty good deal. I even struggled with getting my Kapex and getting this, but in the end, I decided on the Kapex. The crappy thing about all of this is if I had just waited just a little, I could have gotten this awesome deal and saved a ton of money on my car insurance. So at $43.99, plus what ever discounts you can get on top of that, then everyone should start snatching them up. Enjoy.

You had me going there for a minute - what a deal. Saves on the power bill also.

Yeah, I am just curious how many people are going to check this out. It is pretty funny though. I tried to change the title, but it won't change though.

Why do I think there's a type in the ad. $1,000.00 for a manual miter saw is unreal even for Festool. Also, I somehow remember them being about $100.00 each.

I think the Noblex saw was/is around $200 or so

The fact that Amazon screwed up a listing is no surprise, that's a daily occurrence; in fact, I'm waiting for a $143 diamond blade I ordered, because it was marked down to $2.97. I'll let you know if I get it:-)

The thing that does surprise me is that there are 25 reviews for this thing, 18 of which are 1 and 2 star.
I didn't bother to look at the review dates, but I'm going to assume the very few five star ratings weren't posted first.
So why would these other 20 people buy this thing with all the noise from the crappy reviews staring them in the face? Maybe the thought of getting a $1000 product for 50 bucks? Could people be that stupid?

I've got that saw. It doesn't have the Jorgensen brand, but it's the same, even down to the simulated wood base (vinyl covered MDF). I got it quite a few years ago from the Borg. If I were to review it for amazon, 2 stars at best. That's probably because I haven't used it in a long time. Accurate isn't a term that should be used with that thing.

If I tell LOML that I saved $955.01 buying this for only $43.99 I wonder if she will let me spend the savings on more tools? Hard to beat a deal like that.

if buying it saves $955 then not buying it saves $1000?
Wow, now I have $1000 to spend on other things.

Well, she's going to be wearing a $3.00 driver bit as of right now. I can't resist playing innocent and sending them a email stating that I got the wrong product.
The 'problem' with email is that you can't see the other person smirking.
                          Is there a smirking icon?

I paid $20 a while back hen Home Club went under. If you lock the stop with the allen key it will improve the cut. I drilled a hole in the side of that fine MDF simulated wood grain base to have it ready to use. I use it to cut 1/4 round mostly
