They actually listed that as a feature:

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Don't get your hopes up over the abilities of that shaper. It's a light duty machine that can be easily outperformed by a small router. There's not a lot of large cutters that can be mounted on a 1/2" spindle.

Well the one I just sold worked fine for what I ran thru it,Agreed a router table can do a lot more, but these are nice to have around to hog out some wood with as they have a lot more torque IMO and my other did not have all the acc. to boot that this one has. The 1172 in itself is worth more than I,m paying for the entire setup. I just hope when I,m gone if my wife outlives me she gets someone to price my stuff like this accordingly. Prices are right on the money for most of it. I,ll spill the beans tomorrow after its all home and safely tucked away,But ya,ll no me by now and trust me I,m getting a rather good deal for what I,m getting

Hi Tommy -- I appreciate many of your posts, the first one in this thread included. This latest post, however, feels to me like you just broke the spirit of the forum. Quote from the little box at the top of the page:

Please, no "gloats" unless it is a deal that others can get.

Well thats odd as I don,t feel your right about that, The Gloat was posted in a completely different section, not in the bargain alerts section. Anyone of the members here could have come to the estate sale I guess but I primarily posted it for the Ga. group who usually follow my postings for deals as they more often get them since were in the same local. No spirit was broken as I didn,t gloat here

Fair enough. Out of curiosity then, why were you expecting somebody to post a "you suck" if not in response to a gloat?

The sale was long over when that was posted so I figured if anyone else made a purchase they would go there as well, There are still items available as they didn,t sell all of the tools, But I,m outta money for the month(thought the planer and Radial arm saw are tempting enough to get a short term loan)http://georgiawoodworkers.com/georgi...reinhardt-sale
