    Jessem router lift from $109.99

While supplies last Jessem is closing out 2 different router lifts. These are Asian made, and according to their website they will honor any warranty issues the same as their Canadian made models. One is for a 3 1/2 inch router base, and the more expensive model for the 7518 Porter Cable model.

    sounds like a good deal...
The FX fits my Bosch 1617 and the plate fits my woodpecker table cutout.

Consider a Woodpecker phenolic plate alone (drilled for specific router, with three rings and a starting pin) costs $65... another $45 gets you the lift and a plate.

Thanks. I just bought the router lift package at Rockler that uses the same lift. It was a really good deal, but not this good. I was unaware that this lift is being discontinued. That is an awesome price though. I figured that the deal at Rockler (router, table, fence, lift and stand $400) put the rice of the lift at about $150. I thought that was a great deal at that time.

What router came with the deal?
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

That's a really good deal. Woodcraft sells the Rout-R-lift-FX for $219.

I put one in my router table insert on my saw for use with a Dewalt 618 a few years ago. I think that the lift is one of the best tool purchases I've ever done. Repeatable, accurate adjustments every time.

Is this lift would work with the bosch 1617?

Yes, I believe so. From the woodcraft website description for the Rout-r-lift FX: This clamp is sized for 3-1/2" diameter motors (Porter-Cable 690 and 890 series, Bosch 1617 and 1618 series, and DeWalt 610 and 618 series) and rides on heavy-duty bearings that slide up and down on precision machined solid steel posts.

I've really enjoyed mine. The only drawback is that I wish it had a quick lift feature like some of the Woodpecker lifts. It's really a minor thing, but sometimes I wish I didn't have to turn the crank as much as I need to at times.

The insert ring kit isn't exactly cheap, but it is nice to have. http://www.woodcraft.com/Catalog/Pro...3-33270e8f477e http://www.jessemdirect.com/product_p/02021.htm

Also, the ROUT-R-LIFT FX on special is the 02302 model. Jessem's site lists it as being compatable with the ROUT-R-LIFT FX™ (9-1/4" X 11-3/4") FOR PORTER CABLE 690, BOSCH 1617/1618 AND DEWALT 610. FITS JESSEM TOPS

I purchased the template from Woodcraft for installation in my table top. http://www.jessemdirect.com/ProductD...03003&CartID=1 It did make installing it easier. It's not totally necessary though. At the time I didn't think I had the skills or knowledge to get the table top cut in right without it.

If you've got the extra funds going with the master lift and an adapter collar would allow you to be able to put a stouter router motor into the lift in the future. I kind of wanted to go this direction when I got my setup, but I just didn't have the cash.

Darn you! I just had to pick one up. Now I need to build a router table and get a better router....

The adapter rings are $37.00 for the deluxe model, but I don't have a spare $200.00 for the heavier lift. Still these are great prices, I have a Bosch 1617 and a Porter Cable 690. Probably put the PC690 in this setup. Already have the Bosch with a Woodpecker plate.
