Dunno, Thats the reason I bought 2 , Now I don,t have to move the table everytime I need to sand with the disc and I,ll always have plenty of parts. It works well and the dust collection is rather good, so I,m quite pleased for the $100 that I paid for the 2 of them, BTW Sarge like your stand looks cool

That sander is getting pretty hard to find anywhere online right now.

Lowes has replaced this sander with a rebranded Porter Cable. Exact same sander if my memory hasn't failed me.

This is the PC one now on Lowes' website: http://www.lowes.com/pd_91036-46069-...Ntk=i_products

The configuration is a bit different, it also has aluminum tables, and lists for $199. They didn't have one at my local Lowes.

Yeah, Tommy, that's the one. Sorry to be so late answering but my mother broke her hip in April and I'm not online as much as I used to be. Spending a lot of my free time going back and forth to the doctor's office with her.

                  Hey guys,

Thanks for the head's up. I bought the last one at my closest Lowes today. Was the floor sample. No dust bag (I'll use my DC). No wrenches (I have metric hex wrenches). No instructions (downloaded from Hitachi)

Clearance price tag at $111.20. Offered $50 to the tool mgr. He called the store mgr. Sold. $50 + tax out the door.

                  This is a great forum.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together. (Especially when there was no plan.) Congrats, Lonnie for a great deal.

I guess I sorta suck too. I just got the same deal as Lonnie. Floor model, no bag, miter, etc. $50 plus tax.

I called down to the Burleson store a bit earlier. They didn't have any. I got the nice lady too look it up on their computer system and she said there was 2 in the W Fort Worth store and one in White Settlement (just in case someone around here is looking). She also said the South Arlington store had one, but it was a display model and that I could probably get it cheaper. I got out to the store and it wasn't in the tool display area. That Porter Cable does look fairly decent, but it's $200. I was about to head out, but the manager came over to help the cashier over by the lumber area. I figured I'd ask him anyways. He led me over to the thing just sitting on the floor back away from the tool area amongst some building supplies. I checked it out, asked about the bag and stuff. He verified what I already figured. I offered him $50 and he didn't hesitate. Probably should have started lower. When the cashier first rang it up it listed as $99. I think it was a fair deal.

Actually, there WAS a plan. Your original post grabbed my attention. tommy654 and iceman61 encouraged me to ask for a lower price. And all of the forum members who responded with positive comments about the sander pushed me into action.

So my plan today was to find / to negotiate / and to buy!

Like I said ... "this is a great forum"

EDIT - Erik: congrats on getting the deal at your Lowes, too.

Thanks to TommyT for posting the receipt! That was my ticket to the $50 deal. For those who are in the area, the Durham, NC Lowe's stores (#0567 & #2778) each had 2 units listed in their systems as of about 7PM on 7/3/10. The Lowe's SKU is 251508.

                                Happy Hunting!
