Smokin' deal on Bostitch hammer at Lowes - FREE

Bostitch is making a push to get into the hand tools market, so they have a really great deal this week at Lowes. Buy ANY Bostitch hand tool, get a free $20 20-oz hammer. I bought a really cool dual-blade utility knife last night for $11, got a free hammer. I would have bought the shorty level but I already have a Stabila that I like too much.

Hurry up, they're going fast, and the offer is over on the 14th!

The hammer in the promo looks to be a twin of the Stanley I have. It's a very nice hammer.

Just ran up to my neighborhood Lowes and took a look. There is one Xeroxed sign hanging near the hammers, or you wouldn't know this deal is going on... It's a nice hammer (clone of the parent Stanley brand) with the tuning fork in the handle. I also grabbed the dual blade utility knife (also a Stanley clone). Plus, I had a Post Office 10% coupon with me, so saved a buck and a dime on the knife. With the free hammer, that's $9.98 plus tax for $31 worth of tools. Nice deal... Thanks for the heads-up.

One thing I should add is that the deal (according to the posted sign) is not good on ANY Bostich tool, but only on six particular tool models, one of which is another hammer (in case you need two), plus the utility knife, a 25'x1-1/4" tape, a small level, and a couple other things that I can't remember. Bottom line is that you're gonna have to spend $10+ to get the deal, at least at my store (no buying a $1.50 punch). YMMV

            Thanks for the heads-up!

I like the Bostitch torpedo level, so picked-up this combo today. My local Lowe's had plenty of 20 oz hammers (very nice with smooth face, made in Taiwan), but the knives were going fast!

FYI, the offer details are listed on Slick Deals.

Totally stealth deal in Kentucky- no signs, no ad. I picked up the torpedo level and a hammer- hammer rang up $0.00, so thanks for the heads-up!

I noticed a few weeks ago that the Stanley hammers were being replaced with identical Bostitch models. I like the Bostitch orange, and I've always wanted one of those tuning fork hammers. Lucky for me I happen to need a spare utility knife today.

Lots of knives and hammers still at my local Lowes.

Check the clearance while you are there - I got 6" grinding wheels for $0.36, 8" for $0.47.

thanks for the heads up. No signs anywhere, but when it rang up 0.00 for the hammer. Mt. Olive NJ had a lot of the hammers left. They were on the end cap with the compressors across from the tool coral.

Thanks for posting. There was a slightly different selection of tools to choose from at my local store. I had no use for a TWIN blade utility knife, so I chose the aluminum chalk line to replace my cheapo plastic one. They only had a couple small signs out, and the employees didn't know much about the deal.

I now own three 20 oz hammers. Time will tell if this is as durable as my Estwings. Looks nearly identical.

And woodturner's right; there were all kinds of clearance stickers around that department, particularly the power tools. I was on my lunch break, so I didn't have time to look around .

I was able to pick up the bostich utility knife- there were no signs and the hammers were in the hammers rack- you need to look for the items. By the way, I can figure out how to change the blades- I took the knife apart and it's a pain- is there a better way? they don't have instructions.

There is a little black rubber tab near the nose of the knife (on the top)... Pull it to one side or the other to allow one blade or the other to be pulled straight out the front... Easy as pie...

Is this special still valid this week? I asked at my local Lowes yesterday & of course nobody knew anything about it.

I noticed when I was in my store yesterday that the one small sign was still up. YMMV
