I've been watching this generator for a couple of years:
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=66619
This 39 lb generator is to be used as a emergency backup to my larger generator and can provide some comfort to others (my mom) if we have a power outage and I'm using the larger one for my home.
I was waiting for the generator to go on sale (non-coupon) and then use the 20% off but I found it in the coupons provided in the magazines.
(I actually used the $89 coupon and then found a $79 coupon).
This generator is $149 on the web site and $129 in the store.
There is a lot of info on the pros and cons of this unit (Amazon, Cabelas, Northern Tool):

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...box.jsp.form23
I had to return the first unit (bad voltage regulation) but the second one appears to work well with my initial limited trials. This one holds about 62 hz and 124-127 volts under a 500 watt flood light load.
I'm going to perform more extensive testing over the next few days and break the unit in.
When complete with my trials, I may pack it up with some of this gas:

This would be the ultimate "bug out" emergency kit.
