$629...... That's not right. I think Amazon made a mistake. HD sells it for$429 normally. I got mine for $329 last summer on sale. A great little machine!!!

I don't believe so. I don't own one myself. But other owners have told me that this jointer is basically a clone of a 1960s era Delta 6", down to the knives. I cannot personally verify that...

I know that Harbor Freight stocks replacement knives for $9.99... And they are resharpenable.

The 7" jointer however, is a goofy size. Then again, Harbor Freight stocks the knives for those as well...

Of course, for the price of a cheap new Delta floor model 6". You can get Item #32966 8" Jointer for $399.00 minus the 20% coupon... You may however have to get the 8" model special ordered as most stores don't seem to have them in stock.
