I was in my local Home Depot today and they had a big stack of these Ray-O-Vac AA 60 packs alkalines for $10. Decent price so I thought I would pass along. I don't use too many disposables myself anymore since switching to Eneloop rechargeables which hold their charge a LONG time compared to regular NIMH rechargeables.

Ray-o-vacs are cheaer than the other nae brands even when not on sale.
But i find that the Ray-o-vacs are inferior to Eveready or Duracell, in that they have a real tendency to leak once they get old. Makes it a real poor bargain to have to clean up an expensive electronic item or even an inexpensive one from the leaked chemicals that corrode the contacts and circuit boards.
