    HF Discount Coupons

I usually don't post these but there are a few good coupons in today's email.
I though someone may be interested in the 4" angle grinder or the 21* frame nailer.

FWIW, the framing nailer coupon that is in the current issue of Wood Magazine is for $49.99, well worth buying a copy if you don't subscribe...

Sweet, I need to get that coupon. I already have this nailer, but my dad was looking for one.

BTW, there is a 4.5" angle grinder for $9.99 after coupon in Family Handyman, but it's only $20 regularly. How much better is the $16.99 one linked in the OP?

      It's this one:

I've got the 9 dollar one, and while it doesn't sound like the bearings in there are a finely crafted piece of machinery- it does work and has done about a 100 times more work than I thought I'd get out of it before it broke.

Too cool. I was wondering how to access my digital subscription for Wood Magazine. I get the print copies already, but prefer digital...

Is the scroll saw for $50 any good?

I assume that the multifunction power tool for $30 is a good price, right?

Thanks, it took a while to figure out how to print the page. For other caffeine deprived people.....
Register, clip the page, view the clipped page and then find the printer icon and press it.

Yes, or you can take a screenshot when the area you want to print is visible by clicking PrtScn key on your keyboard, and then pasting it into Paint or some other paint-type program (I use SnagIt, which is even better/easier).

Sorry to keep posting, but does anyone have any opinions on any of the other items (other than the nailer) on these coupon pages? My wonderful wife has agreed to go by Harbor Freight for me today (it's over an hour away, and she's going to be in the area).

                      tohellwithuga,

You might create another thread in the tool talk forum. A lot of guys don't follow the bargan alerts threads.

There's also the HF gems list somewhere too. http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=47637

Thanks. I saw that list, but I don't see the scroll saw on there, in particular. I guess that's the one I'm really wondering about.

My wife is leaving in a few minutes... I guess I could give her the coupons and call her if I find out anything here. I will submit a thread over there, thanks.

Probably too late for your needs, but I have not heard good things about the scroll saw.

It seems that budget and quality are hard to find together for scroll saws. The vibration of the cheaper ones is the most common complaint. So, to be fair, I don't think that it's the HF scroll saw that is the specific problem, it just seems like the cheaper/lighter/smaller saws aren't satisfactory to many people.

One nice thing about HF though is that they don't even blink when you want to return something. They know what the quality control is on their products and they are quite used to having to take back some percentage of them. At least that is the way it is at the HF I go to.

Nope, not too late at all, she's just leaving now. I called off the scroll saw purchase, but highlighted about 20 other things for her to pick up. Hopefully, she can just hand the coupons to someone and they will find them for her.

                              Man, my wife is cool
