Got a call from the store saying they were out of stock even tho they had one when I ordered. I convinced them to try to get one shipped from another store and they were doing so. Then they found out the price and said that the .com price was a mistake and they wouldn't honor the price. Me thinks one of the workers may have taken advantage of the mistake for themselves but I can't be sure of that. Clerk I talked with on the phone sounded like he was just out of highschool and not too sure of himself.OzzieComment

Ordered it as soon as I saw this post this morning, got the confirmation and picked it up for the $18.00. I don't usually luck out with sweet deals but it looks like I finally did.Dave

Well I gotta say I am ticked. I am happy that sears honored it to some of you, but I am ticked that they sent me away empty handed with hardly an apology. All I can say is: tomorrow I will be talking to a manager at sears and they are getting an earful. I paid for this product and I am now expecting them to give me the product I paid for, and if they had a pricing error: that's not my problem.Comment

Yeah, you've got a leg to stand on there. But don't just take my word for it, Read this from the Sears.com Terms of Use:Well I gotta say I am ticked. I am happy that sears honored it to some of you, but I am ticked that they sent me away empty handed with hardly an apology. All I can say is: tomorrow I will be talking to a manager at sears and they are getting an earful. You tried to get a $200 item for $20, and surprise surprise, it didn't work. I'm bummed I missed on it too. But that's life. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. Just let it go and wait for the next deal. Making a fuss in the managers office of your local store is going to be a waste of your time and his.In the event of a pricing error on the Sears Site, Sears reserves the right to cancel any orders resulting from such pricing errors.Comment

I have to agree with Photojosh. On the one hand, I like getting a deal as much as anyone else. On the other hand, my conscience bothers me when the deal is TOO good.
Viewed from the perspective of the seller, if I screwed up like this, I'd have to make good on it, but I sure wouldn't be happy.Comment

I know, I hear what you guys are saying. This reminds me of some amazon router deal I read about a while back. The difference was: amazon didn't honor the deal for anyone, they caught the error before anything shipped and nobody got it.
Since Sears has chosen to honor the deal on a hit and miss basis, that is now my complaint. My reasoning is this: they had the offer for a product, I purchased that product, I called and was told it was ready for pickup, I drive there and get told "oops, we screwed up, here is the credit to your account". That is crap, and I want the product I purchased.
This is no different then if the product were mis-marked on the shelf, I bought it, and then the manager flags me down three steps out the door and says it was a mix up. The legal answer and that point: well since they sold me the product and took the money out of my account, I now own it. And they don't get to take it back.
So I will be having a talk with a manager at the store tomorrow. I may not get anywhere, but now it's based on principle, not on an oops.Comment

That's why I moved quickly on this one. I wouldn't try to force the issue if I ran into a roadblock. That wouldn't be right. But my conscience is not gonna bug me for getting the deal. After all, if there was an error, it was theirs, and they should have had adequate opportunity to correct it before it went online.Comment
