For everyone who got their order canceled, did you get a confirmation email first saying it was ready to pick up? I told my friend about this deal but he was out of town. He got the confirmation email but wasn't able to pick up till today. Got a text from him just now saying he just picked it up.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Interesting. A friend ordered two Sunday, one for him, one for his son. First store had just one avail for pickup, ordered the second for pickup at another store. Both were confirmed via E-mail. No other communication from Sears. Picked both up Monday morning, I asked how it went and he said no problem, just like any other store pickup.

Figured I'd give an update. I got a voice message from the store's general manager (not the regional manager, like I was told) and he advised me that he did some research, and since several initial orders were honored, he's decided to honor the $19.99 price on the Worksharp and has their only unit on hold at the store. I need to call him back to confirm that I'll drop by today, but it looks like I'm good to go.

Again, just want to note that keeping your cool and following the steps given to lodge a complaint can indeed resolve an issue quite well. I didn't yell and scream, and I didn't make any threats. I simply made my case that it's not good customer service to post something and not honor it.

It sounds like your patience has paid off. I hope you get home with a WS3000 under your arm.

It's in the trunk of my car as I type.

MRG- I don't have a scanner- sorry. I will see if I know anyone who does.

I think Sears.com is having issues, I was going to go and print my reciept into a PDF file but I cannot get onto my account. I ended up resetting my password and now that doesn't work. If I ever get into it, I will see what I can do.

The PDF attachment was too big to post so here is a link to it. I hope this helps.

Which store were you dealing with? I saw this offer Sunday on Sawmill Creek, ordered it online and picked it up in the Burnsville store about an hour later. No questions asked...

Well, I couldn't order online to pick up- the actual item page wasn't working by the time I saw the deal. However, the tag on the shelf itself said $19.99.

I tried at 3 stores: Eden Prairie and Brooklyn Center. BC was at least polite about it, but EP was pretty rude.
