    Hitachi hammer drill. $19.00.

I already have one of these. Nice drill for the price. I think I gave about $30 or so for mine. Comes in a nice case as well.

If I didn't already have a hammer drill I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. I have purchased a few Hitachi tools in the last couple of years, some new and some reconditioned. Everyone of them has, in my opinion, been well worth it in terms of price but most of all quality.

IMO, that's a giveaway price. I presently have two drills/hammerdrills. A 1/2" PC VSR 14.4V, and a 5/8" Makita corded that I paid close to $100. For concrete, I like corded better.

As for "reconditioned" tools, I have no reservation. I would like to think that the problem I would have had with a new one got fixed with "reconditioning". Maybe that's wishful thinking. But, "reconditioned" could also mean that it was a floor model, or one that was returned and possibly never used.

I've had a few Hitachi tools that I really liked. One was a 10" CMS that got stolen while on the jobsite.

In any case, for that price I might just get one just to have it.

I initially bought mine to have the larger chuck capacity. My older 1/2" Craftsman drill was borrowed by my son and I think he assumes it was an early inheritance. 5/8" chuck is nice to have available in a hand held model sometimes. Some things just don't fit under a DP or my lathes.

I do need the hammer part on occasion as well.

I have been using the 3/8" corded for about two years now for production. I bought a spare one of those when they were on sale. I think they are always on sale. I burnt up a Dewalt in about 3 years using it the same way.

Fine drill. I have several of the cordless types too from these guys. Great shipping and decent support. One of my batteries was DOA. Resolved fast and efficiently with a brand new battery.

That looks like a great price for a full-featured tool. I also have no hesitation about buying a factory-recon tool, as they are all gone over by a tech, which does not happen with new units.

I have purchased from them on two occasions. My last purchase from them arrived two days after I placed the order. Pretty hard to beat that kind of service.

                    Order placed!

Thanks for the heads up. I've needed one occasionally for drilling into concrete for tapcons. This is a pull the trigger price even if I only need it once or twice a year.

Wow, great deal! I'm in! I was about to dismiss this as the 3/8" model, glad I kept reading.

I may have missed it, but I do not see an explanation of the various 'grades' of reconditioned tools. I did see a remark about 'grade c', but not about other grades. Am I missing something?

At the very top of the website. "Why buy recon"?

Everything I have bought from the looks to be in brand new condition.
