    OC CL: Ridgid BS14000 w/6in Riser, $350

Looks to be in good shape from photo in ad - not sure how good the price is.

That is the first Ridgid bandsaw. 3/4 HP, the price is $325.00. That is what they sold for new in 2003, w/o the 6 in riser. Many people complained about vibration.

The new Grizzly 0555 is a much better deal.

That is no bargain. Maybe worth $150 tops.

I bought my Harbor Freight band saw because of the complaints about the BS1400's vibration problems... And even at that, he is asking close to what a new one w/o the riser costs... No bargain at all...

The vibration issue is easily overcome mostly with a link belt but his price is out of line. I'd go $200 but if you're going to spend $550 I'd go with Dave's advice. I own the BS1401 only because I got a rebuild from Cummins Tool Sales for $150. Replaced the belt, tires and blocks and balanced the wheels. Very smooth now but if I was spending $550...
