Seriously though, I didn't think it was possible for them to recall an item once it has been in the carrier's custody. Not wanting to sound snotty or anything, just never heard of such a thing. Do you have any articles you can reference on that?

On the cancelling orders and intercepting shipments thing, isn't this Amazon using an illegal bait and switch scheme?
I don't see how it could be "bait and switch". When you order from Amazon, the terms and conditions you agree to grant them the right to correct errors. They say the price is an error, so you have agreed to let them cancel the order and recover the merchandise.
There have been a few cases reported where these pricing errors were discovered after delivery and Amazon demanded return of received merchandise, but it looks like they have had limited success with that approach.
More significantly, the $99 price for the router is not so low as to suggest a price error anyway - I think it is just a sale price.
