The makita mac700 is hard to beat for a smallish compressor. I say smallish because it still is a little heavy at around 60lbs. I too have been looking for a smaller compressor (I have the makita) and have been looking at the Senco pc1130 or the rol-air FC1250LS3. I do still recommend staying away from the oiless. Unless you go with a thomas compressor, but they are over priced IMHO.
