    Port-a-mate Miter Saw Stand

Anyone familiar with the Port-a-Mate Miter Saw stand? They have them at HD for $39.99 but none on display.

No direct experience - but the price seems reasonable for a light-duty MS stand. Most in this class are ~$99; does not compare to the durability of Ridgid's MSUV, but should be sufficient for light duty. Reminiscent of the stands by DeWalt, Ryobi and B&D - except with wheels.

It looks a LOT like my Firestorm stand, like was mentioned above, except the wheels. They usually go for $99.00, so that is a good price.

If you rig a method for hainging the stand, and stowing the CMS, space in a small shop isn't much of a problem. When not in use, my CMS stows on the top of one of my storage shelves, and the stand hangs on the wall behind the cyclone.

For $40.00 that looks very similar to the Ryobi model. At that price point, it should sell rather well. I haven't seen that model yet. The Home Depot here in western washington doesn't do a great job in marketing their tools.

Was just at my local (Kemah TX) Home Depot, and while they didn't have the Ryobi grinder (those were gone by 7:00 a.m. Friday) they DID still have 3 of those stands. There was a pallet full of them Friday morning...

Not a single one in East Cobb/Roswell or Woodstock, Was told a N/S Item. Shown nowhere on B/F Add. Still need a receipt to p/m if I can find one. Still showing online at $109 unfortunately
