          ryobi kit free tool?

I saw the ad, it says free tool with the $59.00 4 piece ryobi kit (drill, flashlight, vac, and circ saw w/ 1 battery). The free tool is up to $70.

I am debating on either the impact driver ($69.00) or the replacement two batteries (around $44).... I am leaning to the two batteries since I have only 1 good battery out of 3 from my 5 year old "Six Pack" (8 1/4 miter, circ saw, recip saw, spiral saw, driver, and flashlight --- and rolling storage case).

I wish it included a Lith-Ion battery, but they are limiting the tool to only $70, and I think the Lith-ion battery is 89 or so

I have had good luck hitting the Black Friday sale at Home Depot, they often have some unadvertised deals that sometimes are pretty good.

Actually, people aren't motivated by the size of their paycheck.

Recalling that I had been exposed to this very topic 30 years ago in a human relations course, I did a little research. A psychologist by the name of Frederick Herzberg published a study back in the 50's, whereby he divided the factors influencing an individual's attitude about their job into two groups: motivators (which enhance job satisfaction,) and hygiene factors (which can produce job dissatisfaction, if absent.) The reason why it has stuck with me all these years, is because I was manager of an accounting department while pursuing my degree at night, so it wasn't just more theoretical gibberish. I was seeing it in practice every day.

Do you know anyone who is honestly satisfied with the amount they're paid? It's a ridiculous notion, as is the contention that you can motivate employees by paying them more. Salary/wages is a hygiene factor, as are the following workplace environment issues: decent working conditions, reasonable company policies, amount of training and supervision received, and getting along with your boss and co-workers. These are base expectations, not the makings of Employer of the Year.

The best employees are self-motivated to a large extent. They don't require close supervision or short term cookies, in order to get the best out of them. They're recognition junkies who thrive in a structure that rewards effort and ability, not just tenure. It's much more important to them that they like what they're doing, and they're given the opportunity to grow. That's how you motivate employees.

The current deal which it says runs until 12/31 does include the lithium battery pack.

There are some decent deals in that flyer. I like the B&D full height storage cabinet for $40. Usually you get a half height cabinet for that price. So it's mostly plastic. At that price you can beat the h*ll out of it and not care.

i think you answered that with "Ridgid's huge 12" after that I am not interested. If I wanted a RAS I would buy one. now if they were selling an 8" dual compound slider i would be all over it.

I have the ONE+ impact driver, and it's a really nice piece of gear.

It's one of those things that I originally couldn't quite understand the need for (doesn't a drill with a screwdriver bit do basically the same thing?), but given all the impact driver love out there, I had to give it a try. Once you go impact, you won't go back. :-)

Looks like Ace's offerings will not be nearly as good as last year's, altho there's still a few goodies. No free items like the cordless screwdriver this year, and not so many $5 and under tools.

Ditto on the impact driver! Now, if only the One+ batteries would last longer. I have 4 of them that only hold enough charge for drilling about 3 holes.
