HF Coupon - 15% off one item

    http://www.harborfreightusa.com/html...n/coupon3.html

This is from their website, so I would assume it is legit - I know my HF can be picky about taking these, so YMMV. I got this from Slick Deals.

FYI... When I was in the HF store they had posted right above the register a coupon (don't remember which one) that was printed in color and had written across it "FAKE COUPON" in pen. They are probably watching the coupons pretty closely.

Yeah, I know, which is why I have YMMV. I don't get HF - I had a similar coupon a long time ago and they refused to accept it even though I got it from THEIR OWN WEBSITE. They kept telling me that people had ways to get fake coupons onto the HF website - while possible, that is a bit far fetched, and shouldn't they then take care of it?!

I was in the local HF this week (before I knew about the coupon) and heard them discussing the coupon. I didn't catch the whole thing, just something about it not working, and "did anyone try using it" or something like that.

Two people on Slick Deals said it scanned fine, but I haven't tried it yet. Has anyone here tried it? I have nothing I want at the moment, so I don't expect to be going anytime soon.

              Worked for me

I used the linked coupon on the 6" fractional caliper at the Cedar Rapids HF Saturday morning with no problem. The sales clerk glanced at it and said sure.

My HF rocks. I was in there yesterday to buy the 200' fish tape with a coupon for $11.99, down from $17 or $19. I didn't know it was expired and it popped up invalid when he scanned it. I said no problem, I'll pay regular price (still dirt cheap). He called the manager who came over and put in the discount even though I said I didn't mind paying full price, I just didn't know the coupon was expired. I guess it all depends upon the manager and what sort of scams they've had to deal with. My HF has only been open a few months.

Have 2 of them here... One of them is fine with all the coups and such, but the other one is very hard-assed. The store with the jerk manager deserves none of my business, and I'm doing my best to see that's exactly what he gets. I only go there if the easy-to-deal-with store is out of something I need very badly.

I actually found something to use this coupon on and it did scan perfectly. The person who checked me out didn't give it a second look so I am guessing they are aware of this one.

I actually used (or should I say one) yesterday @ BORG to get a Makita sliding miter saw, which had been reduced to $399. My girlfriend works in HR for the region, but is based n one of the stores. I emailed her the coupon and asked if they would take it. She said the store manager said "absolutely." So I went that night but the manger on duty said they didn't accept it and it was right @ closing time. The next day my girl went to the store manager and she said he was upset that it wasn't honored. So they ended up giving 15% my entire purchase.
