HF 20 Pc TiN-coated Forstner Bit Set

Just saw this on sale for $29.99 (regular 42.99), and believe it to be a serviceable economy set.

I don't mean to rain on the parade, but I bought the smaller set, and now I wouldn't take it if it was free. Not sharp, burns, stalls. I bought a Freud set at HD, and am very happy with it.

      Johan,
I own both sets, and have not shared your unfortunate experience. But as with any HF tool, YMMV - check carefully, and return if not satisfied.

the set of drill master forstners i have from HF have given me pretty good service. Most importantly they were not too expensive, just as important, they are accurately sized and concentric.
They seem to cut OK and don't seem to be getting dull too fast... not that I have too much to compare to.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

I've been using the 7-piece set from HF for a few years now- no complaints.
