Sears has a 16 gal shop vac for $17.99 online. Choose instore pickup to save on shipping. The item number is 17768. I think it is a price mistake other vacs are selling for about $80.

Sears is a JOKE
Well as usual Sears Sucks. They charged the vac to my credit card. Then 2 days later i get a email saying the item is no longer available or something was wrong with my payment method. I called customer service and they told me no thats not right. The item was missed priced. I told them thats fine but they should have never charged me for it if i wasn't going to recieve it. I also told them that i didn't appreciate being lied to. The customer service lady was extremely rude. She said she couldn't help me and that i needed to email customer service. Then she goes on to say that nothing would ever come of it anyway. Well Sears thanks for nothing and you just lost a Customer for life. Making a mistake is one thing but lieing about it is another. I hope the next time you consider buying something from Sears you remember there Customer Service SUCKS.Comment

That sucks.....
They are rude at Sears Service.
I called their parts hotline, I needed to replace the canister in my 20 Gallon Sears Wet Dry Vac. They asked me for the part number, I only had the model number. They told me they could not look up the part number if I gave them the model number. They were rude so I decided to push it, and asked for a manager. She finally told me that they CAN look it up but will not because if it is not the correct part they would not be responsible. I get that but why give me the run around. I will not buy anything again from them..Every tool you own is broken, you just don't know it yet :-)Comment

sears guys are usually rude, especially when you are returning something.
well it was when they had buy one, get one free fiber glass handle tools, i bought a couple and also a steel chisel/punch set. this set is by "companion".
so the first time i used the shovel, the handle on the bottom side showed a hair line crack. the i took out a punch (with the bottom flat), tried to push a brad end out of the wood and it broke.
so after a week, i went to sear to return the shovel and chisel/punch set. first the guy says we dont warrenty companion brand things. i simply said, i know, that is why i am returning it. he said whats wrong with the shovel, i told him the handle is cracked. now i have been seeing this guy there for some time and he could do a return so he calls the next in charge there to help him. that person goes through the hole thing and give me the "we dont warrenty companion ... " i just stayed quiet. a third guy come by and says whats wrong with the shovel, the 2nd guys say "it got a crack somewhere" and they lift the shovel in the air and are looking all over the place for the crack". i wanted to say so much, but i stayed quiet the whole time after i spoke my piece with the first guy.
they are some times all over when you are buying, but weird when you are returning._________________________

I don't shop Sears much, but when I do, I feel that I have gotten the value that I paid for. I have returned a few items in the past and have never had a problem, not have the salespeople been rude (maybe it's a Minnesota thing).
On the other hand, complaining about poor service after looking at taking advantage of an obvious pricing error, leaves me a little dumbfounded. Just my $.02 worthJoe

I actually just had a nice experience at sears this past weekend. My mom was in town visiting and wanted to get my an early B-Day present, I chose the right angle drill that goes with my C3 cordless tools. When I got it out of the box at home, I realized that the drill was a different model than was showing on the package, it WAS a right angle drill, but it lacked some of the features of the one pictured on the front of the box. I took it back to the Sears store the next morning and the gentlemen that helped me were more than helpful and hooked me up with the correct model of the drill.
In case you're curious, there are 2 different right angle drills that they have for the C3 system. One comes with the kits and is very basic with a small rectangular trigger button. The other one can be purchased as an add-on and has a LED light and a different trigger. There are also different models of the trim saws, again the kit ones have fewer bells and whistles than the add-ons do.

As blatantly incompetent as the HD and Lowes folks are, at least the ones I deal with TRY to perform basic customer service with at least a thin veneer of civility. I haven't spent a penny at Sears without my wife pushing it since 1992 because of the poor customer service. I will likely still be picking up a 21829 ONLY if I cannot find a NOS BT3100 on Craigslist...
If Ryobi were to bring out the BT3x00 saws again at HD, perhaps with the accessory kit already included like the 21829 has, then I would NEVER have a reason to go to Sears at all...
Perhaps MY experience with Sears is a little unfair. The last time I had a bad experience with them was in a different state, in a different decade, and the twit working behind the counter was simply, and obviously upset he had to do his job... It was at the Sears at the Rincon Mall I think it was, in Tucson. The kid was some college kid who was still wet behind the ears...Last edited by dbhost; 07-08-2008, 07:37 AM.Please like and subscribe to my YouTube channel.
