Not sure if this is a decent little jointer, but if it works well, the price is certainly good!

It looks a lot like the Craftsman 6" benchtop. Anyone have any experience with this outfit?

I think the S&H for the jointer is $38.50.

Yeah, it does look an awful lot like the Craftsman 6" / Palmgren 6"... IF it is the same jointer, I have heard / read very good things regarding the Palmgren EXCEPT for the packaging when jointers have plastic accessories (dust chute) that are busted off in shipping...

          dbhost,
I think you ended up buying one of these, didn't you? How do you like it?

When I need to use a jointer, I've been able to use my neighbor's large Delta - but I hated to bug him all the time for the small stuff, so decided to pick one up.

They still have it for the same price, so gave them a call - the gal that took my order confirmed it was manufactured by the same folks that make the CM version sold by Sears, and that the Sears blades would fit.

I'll post a little something on my experience with its performance after it arrives and I can set it up.

Haven't grabbed one yet. I grabbed a router, and a bandsaw first... Priorities you know. The jointer is coming soon though... For the space contstraints I have to work with, not a bad idea to go with a benchtop jointer... I have not decided which way I am going to go. It is going to have to work with my budget, and my available space... It will either be this jointer, or the Central Machinery 6" floor model... I really like the longer bed of the Central Machinery jointer, but I know Sunhill has a much better reputation... Choices choices...
