Unless you have a free shipping code I think you need to order through Amazon to get free shipping.

No, but I looked it over good. It seems well built and a great deal for the $. The only thing I didn't like was the blade depth gauge is in an awkward spot and hard to read.

Knock it off you guys! I don't need to part with $40 to get a second circ saw that I won't use just because it's a good deal!

Sounds like Dustmight is trying to resist buying another tool. I think the odds are against that from happening. Dustmight let us know how you like your new Worx circ. saw.!!

                  "...Must be strong!"

Honestly, I have a rare roadtrip to the "southern tier" planned for Friday with a friend to acquire some wood, and I've got to hold on to that cash! With any luck, the only acquisition I hope to be posting about anytime soon will be some curly maple or butternut!

                    I can sympathize.

Why do I even keep looking at that?
$39 for a Circular saw that I really don't need right now...
Always said my next circ would have a blade brake, this doesn't.

O Jungle, why must you tempt me so?

Does anyone know (roughly speaking) how quickly a saw with a brake "runs down" to a stop vs. a saw without a brake?

I ran a quick test after I bought my Makita 5008MGA w/brake. The Makita took 2-3sec., Skilsaw 15sec, and Skil Wormdrive 5-6sec..

(I use my circular saw a lot on a rail guided system so the spin down time was very important. For regular construction work probably not as important.)

The problem is that it is from Home & Beyond. They had a deal once before and then cancelled the orders. I don't remember what it was though.

Well they didn't cancel my order. And this has been around for a while, so I don't think there's any concern there.

MBG- Why is the brake important? I guess I've never been concerned about spin down time, but it seems like a bunch of people here feel that it's a must-have feature...
