Hi Mike - It's on sale at Amazon most of the time in that price range...sometimes as low as ~ $21. Performance wise, it's one of the few Freud blades I've ever been disappointed in....it's not that it's bad, but I have a tough time finding a reason to use it. It isn't better at any particular aspect than many of their other blades....it's full kerf and has too many teeth to rip efficiently without bogging my saw, it doesn't cut as cleanly as their LU88, LU74, LU85, LU80, etc., and it isn't anymore versatile than their LU83, LU84, LU86. The one plus I do see is that it's a triple chip grind (TCG) and should have the upper hand in edge wear, so it's a good choice for MDF, laminate flooring, or other situations known to be tough on blades.

No "urgent deal" IMHO....3 out of 5 in my view.
Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

sounds like from DM's description that the blade trades off clean cutting for longer life... hence their description as a heavy duty blade.
