That is very rich. My wife is Chinese, she used to work in a factory in China. She was paid, she paid her rent, bought food, paid her utilities, put her daughter through school and put money in the bank. all on about $350.00 per month. It is so strange how ignorant some Americans are when it comes to the rest of the world and I was born and raised here. How embarrassing.

Mr. Smith, excuse me but I've "trashed" nothing here. I have pointed out however that 2 brands of bits enjoyed here are made by the same company. I've also pointed out that some of those brands are geared (see marketed) towards the weekend warrior woodworker. They are not, IMO, on the same level as FS Tool, Leitz, Leuco, Amana, Heurco, Vortex, Onsrud, Guhdo etc...
Of coarse, the afformentioned tooling is used in industrial applications, on high end industrial machinery on a continual run basis.

BTW, if you need me to tell you that "slave labor country" is China then.........

If we are talking standard braised router bits and not spirals, PCD or insert tooling, I'll put Whiteside up there with them any day. Just my opinion.

Since the majority of the members here are "weekend warrior woodworkers," perhaps you're spending your time on the Internet in the wrong place.

We pride ourselves on welcoming pretty much anyone here, but we do have a certain decorum and a strong sense of community that we like to see everyone respect. You're not off to a real great start.

I,m low-price(cheap), not by choice, but I love my BT3100, my MLCS bits, my Holbren bits and all my other low budget tools. I've come a long way from Sears HSS router bits, 7 1/2" circular saw mounted under piece of plywood for a tablesaw, the yellow miter box(remember those).
It still amazed me how I used those tools to make some pretty elaborate kitchen cabinets.
As a Weekend Woodworker I find its not only the type of tools one use, but also a lot of common sense, skill, patience and time.
I've seen some projects on here that would blow the "pros-with-the-highend-tools" away.
I still hate finishing, even though my finish job looks better than some of the cabinet shops in my area. Because I take the time and patience to test the finishing product.
We here at BT3 forum are in a class of our own. That's good news

There is nothing wrong with "weekend warrior woodworkers" so DO NOT take my words out of context! After 25 years in the supply business, I'd rather see the creations you guys strive to make on those weekends than some build as many as you can plant.

I've spent many a day in China. Mr. Cole, apparently your wife was (thank God) the exception, NOT the rule as the majority of Chinese workers are summarily abused. I'd be more than happy to pics of what I refer to and what I've seen in my travels. Maybe this is not the forum to display that.
