Long Ranger Multigate DC switch system, 110/220 - $20

Amazon dropped the prices on the PSI Long Ranger Multigate Switch Systems. This system lets you turn on your DC remotely by opening blast gates at your tool. You can also add a normal light switch to turn it on and off, or you could probably rig it to work with a $5 christmas light remote if you are handy with a soldering iron.

The 110 volt version is $20.01, and the 220 volt version is $21.42. These qualify for free shipping with a $25 order total. I think each system comes with one gate, and additional 4" gates are $5.25. All of these items qualify for the 4-for-3 promotion, so if you buy two gates with it you can get one free. It'll cost a little over $30 for the system with four gates. Regular prices for the systems look to be $45 - $50 and $7.50 - $10 for the gates.

That is an excellent deal, but unfortunately the 110v system is:
Availability: Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.

Said '2 available' when I ordered mine.

Surprising, I always miss these low quantity items. And I actually needed this.

I think I got my order just in the nick of time. What's a bit frustrating is that I tried to buy 4 more blast gates (on top of the 3 additional ordered with the unit) in a separate order to take advantage of the 4 for 3 promo but it only allows a max of three. I called customer service to see why it's doing this but they didn't know why. They started off saying it's to limit too many purchases by one person but if that was the case you shouldn't be able to order more than 3 total but amazon does allow additional orders but only 3 at a time. Kinda stupid if you ask me.

Anyways, does anyone know if the LMRSET110 comes with the 100' of hook up wire? Amazon doesn't show it in their description but the Penn state site shows that the wire is included in the set.

there are no dumb questions right? since they're out of the 110v version can the 220v be adapted to run at the lower voltage? by adapted i mean easily adapted.

No, not easily. Can you change your DC motor to 220v?

Also qualifies for the 20% off w/ power tool deal... do we have a cheap power tool that'd be worth it?

not easy enough- i'd have to run wire.

                        thanks jeff.

How to get 4 for 3 to work for extra gates

You can get the 4 for 3 promo to work for the extra gates. Problem is that it will only allow you to add 3 gates to a single order.

Solution: make 2 separate orders for 3 gates each (or one order for 3 and one order for 1 or 2). Pay by check to be sure the orders don't start processing. Then go into your open order list (via My Account) and click on the Want to Combine Orders? button. On the Combine Orders page, click on both of the orders to combine them. Before you confirm, change the shipping method to FREE shipping, for which you are now qualified. If you change the payment method to Credit Card do it now as well. Then Confirm the combined order.

If it doesn't work, the Pay By Check will hold the orders in limbo anyway, so you can always delete the two orders. I just did it and it worked so it should for you as well.

Customer service will refund for the 4 ofr 3 also

I had the same problem trying to get more than 3 gates in my cart, but I was heading off to work, so I just ordered two sets of three and then two gates by themselves. Emailed customer service at lunch about the problem and by the time I left work, Amazon had already refunded me the $10.50 for the two gates that were supposed to be free. I do appreciate their willingness to make things right. Tom
