Actually, it gets better... you get 20% off the free mobile base.

    Items: $327.34
    Shipping & Handling: $185.53
    Super Saver Discount: -$11.93
    Shipping Savings: -$173.60
    Promotion Applied: -$54.43
    20% Off Accessories: -$10.89

    Total Before Tax: $262.02
    Estimated Tax: $0.00

    Order Total: $262.02

For some reason w/ my Prime account it separates the order into 2 shipments and doesn't give the discount. It works just fine with my non-Prime user account.

Wow, that's an amazing price. I thought I got a great deal when I bought mine Labor Day for $300 shipped. If you have the $80 lowes biese or unifence that turns into a steal.

What is a good, inexpensive fence for this unit? I missed out on the Lowes deal (at least in my area).

I'm not sure what inexpensive is for you?
But, with the 20% off accessories you could get the T2 fence for $120.

            http://www.amazon.com/Delta-36-T30-3...3170445&sr=1-1

Or for about the same amount; you might be able to find a new Unifence or the Biese fence.
Many were sold recently and I've seen them for sale on several different forums.

            PS.
Wow, that was quick, there were 5 T2s available 10 minutes ago. Sold out now.
If you want one, make sure you click the buy from Amazon button to get the 20% off (lower right on item page)

Thanks for the advice. I ended up jumping in on the T2 before the supply exhausted. It still shows up as $150, but the T&Cs of the 20% off deal (http://www.amazon.com/gp/promotions/details/popup/A1LAFFX0C2HU1D/103-5826832-544463) say that the merchant will apply the discount after the order is processed.

              Thanks again.

Make sure you print out a copy of that statement, as those sort of things have a strange way of disappearing when people start asking for that discount after the fact.

Does that Biesemayer fence that Lowes sold recently for 80.00(the 36-30)
                  fit to this saw?
                  Thanks

I have the same saw and Biesemeyer fence and it fits perfectly with no modifications. Actually the fence was one of three options that could have been ordered for this saw from lowes. The other two were the Delta T2 and a 30" Unifence.

I have the same -- the 36-979 with the Bies fence becomes the 36-982. I just got mine a few months back and have been very happy with it. I can't believe this deal -- I surely wouldn't pass it up had I not already bought mine.

Sweet deal indeed. Anybody looking for a gently used BT3100? I'd be interested in trading for a fence to fit my new saw....

Amazon just cancelled my order. The fence and mobile base have already shipped. I couldn't do anything to get them to honor the price that I thought I was going to pay. The price is back at $449. If anyone got in on this deal and hasn't recieved a cancellation, let me know.

I would email (or better yet speak with) Amazon customer service. They should give you the mobile base for free since it already shipped and was supposed to be free with the saw. Also, they should pay to send the fence back. If you don't have luck with that, refuse delivery and they will credit you in full.

I also ordered the 36-979 and mobile base, received confirmation of my order, and then a day later received an e-mail from Amazon saying they made a mistake on the price and had cancelled the order -- but only for the saw; the mobile base is on its way. Funny thing is, I've tried to cancel an order before it shipped before and received a message from customer service saying it couldn't be done. Apparently, it can be done since they just did it.

I sent customer service an e-mail to complain. The screw-up was theirs and they should honor the deal.
