I did the same this morning. When I talked to the customer service rep, I asked for them to honor the deal, but they wouldn't bite. I sent a follow up e-mail asking for the same. The fence already shipped, but without the TS, the fence doesn't do me much good, especially since they removed the 20% off discount. They assured me that they would pay for the return shipping, and e-mailed me UPS return shipping lables. Oh well, maybe next time...I'll let you know if anything changes.

I just got off the line with customer service. The woman apologized but told me there was nothing she could do. She said I could refuse delivery on the "free" mobile base -- which I noticed I was now being billed for -- and it would be returned and my account credited. After asking to speak with a supervisor, she came back and said they were instructed by the company not to do anything about the saw. She did say she could redirect the shipment of the base, however, so it won't arrive at my house. I realize mistakes happen, but how does a retailer cancel a deal after it's been made and confirmed? Most retailers would accept responsibility and honor the deal, but not Amazon.
The saw is the same price ($450) at Lowe's and maybe some other places. Anyone still interested in buying it should give their business to anyone but Amazon.Comment

I also got the confirmed then canceled notices from Amazon. I've also got a "free" mobile base billed to my credit card for $43.55. I emailed CS but have yet to get a response.
This is Bull S**t!Comment

This fiasco gets worse. I just checked the price of the saw on Amazon and it's now listed at $480! It was $450 before Amazon's pricing "mistake" that caused them to cancel all orders for it (but not the "free" mobile base that suddenly wasn't free). I don't know if this is bait-and-switch or not, but I do know that brick and mortar stores have to sell you a product for the price listed; they can't change it after you bring it to the cashier. Why can Amazon get away with this? I don't know if there's anything illegal about this, but I plan to pursue it by filing a complaint with the appropriate consumer affairs authority. I encourage others to do the same.Comment

$480...$272.91, they're so close to each other on the keyboard...it's an easy mistake anyone could have made! This fiasco gets worse. Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

My mistake. I thought you were talking about the change from $450 to $480. I'm not aware of any cancellations for orders of $450. If a B&M retailer displays a product at an incorrect price in *most* states they are not REQUIRED to sell for the incorrect price.Comment

This is not BS, this is just the flipside of playing the Amazon pricing game. Sometimes we win, sometimes we loose.
I, on the other hand won!
I too ordered the saw - and the free base shipped out before the order was canceled - I recieved the mobile base and the invoice for the base showed $43 or so.
So I emailed them stating that the only reason I ordered the base was to use it for the saw, and it was supposed to be free and I distinctly asked them (and only this...) to credit my account for the $43 they charged me.
So they emailed me back and said they would immdeiately credit my account the $43.
Thusly, I have a free HTC mobile base.
Sometimes, it all how you ask.
As for folks b*&^ing and moaning, they'd be the first to tell Amazon, sorry sucker if Amazon complained of the deals being taken advantage of. So Amazon telling us, Sorry sucker (in much nicer words) is not a problem to me.
Now if they cancel my Milwaukee/Jessem motor after I've already set up the stand and router top - I'm going to be as pizzed off as the rest.

That's a great idea. Try to drive up the cost of business at one of our favorite retailers. Very considerate of you.
Rubbish.
Indeed.Comment

Saw is here
I got my mobile base last week and the table saw showed up today. Looks like an awesome deal for the price. It was all we could do to get the saw loaded in my truck. They charged me $218.47 for the saw and $43.55 for the mobile base.Comment
