              Is this just for vertical angles, or can it be used horizontally, for instance, with the sliding mitre table?

                  Won't work in the horizontal plane, must be in the vertical plane.

                  For example, you can set your blade bevel angle (blade tilt from the vertical)
                  but you can't use it to measure the miter angle.
