    No More Hf Coupons?

Hi, I've been just getting back into my shop after a couple years hiatus.

I gather from some recent threads that the glory days of hf coupons are past. Do they still send out the generic $10 off $100 coupons or 15% off coupons?

I haven't paid attention for quite some time, but as far as I know, I'm still getting all the available emails from them, however I never see these coupons anymore.

I want to buy a cement mixer but can't bring myself to pay the full $199

The 15% off a single item coupon usually appears on about one in three mailout flyers. They now state that reproductions of these coupons will not be accepted. Also, the online price coupons now state that no more than 5 of a given item will be given the special price. They have definitely taken all the fun out of it.

Yes, they now mostly send coupons via email for individual items at fairly decent prices. You can still find the 15% off coupons in sales flyers, but photocopies are no longer accepted. You usually can't bring in expired coupons any more (store managers used to be willing to give you the discounts on these anyway, but not so much anymore, ymmv). Every so often a % off coupon appears in my email inbox, but pretty rarely (as in maybe twice this year).

The other day I gave the clerk a 15% off coupon that had expired the day before. I didn't realize it had expired but they wouldn't honor it. It was my own fault for not checking the coupon so no complaints from me. After all, expired is expired, isn't it?

Yeah, I guess. But you have to wonder if that means that they wanted your business yesterday, but not today. I think they'd be better off if they were a little more flexible. It's not like their cost on that item went up overnight while it sat on their shelves.

              Hf coupons?

I haven't gotten any HF coupons in a few weeks it seems. Just got a new
mail order catalogue in today's mail...nothing on it. Just a coupon for a free
duffel bag ( which I don't need or won't use) but that was all. Their big sidewalk sale is coming up this weekend at least in my area anyway...I
guess that they don't want to have to worry with any coupons on top of
their already "reduced prices" on sale items. eezlock

The last one I got was a 10% off your entire order.

The first two of these came to me by e-mail this week. They contained links to the last two. All are valid this weekend, 10/5-10/7.
