At $1.67 a bd ft, that is a great price. Then I read the write up - planed to 5/16" so use is pretty much limited to linings.

That's the reason for the Wink. may still be o.k. for some, but 5/4 is $1 around here, but then ARC grows like weeds in S.C.

is there a diff between ARC and Western Red Cedar?
          You can buy dog-ear rough cut WRC fence boards 5/8" x 6 ft x 6" (really 5.5)
          - which I work out at ~1.8 bd feet - for about $2

Yes. ARC has deep reddish/orange heart with light sapwood, and is much, much more aromatic. Those colors don't really accurately describe the color, it's just darn pretty and smells wonderful.
I have a bit of WRC and a bunch of ARC, I'll try to remember to post side-by-side pics of both later today.

Yep, sure is. can I say this was a test and you are the only one that passed?!
O.K., I'm red-faced, but I still think it said sq/ft yesterday, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

LOL, I had to read it 3 times to make sure I was reading it right.

Can't wait to see what kind of projects come out of the "Retired Guys" Shop, Congrats Ken
