Thats a decent deal on the 50", but they run better deals. Personally after having the Bessey's, and recently buying the JET Parallel clamp kit ((2) 24", (2) 40" , framing blocks and bench dogs for $129 or less) - I'll NEVER go back to Bessey. Woodpecker www.woodpeck.com is having a clearance sale on the old Gros-Stabil parallel jaw clamps, I think the 60" are like $29.99 only catch is you have to order at least four.
Also have the 50 and 80 inch at similar savings.

Gros Stabil was either bought by Bessey or sold its clamp line to Bessey so Bessey is discontinuing the similar clamp lines by GS.

80 inch parallel jaw clamps . . . holy smokes. That is a heck of a clamp there Loring . . .

I was just going to post that I have about 12 or so 50s. They are big clamps. They are heavy clamps. They work like a champ but man are they big clamps.

Gross was bought by Bessey. Woodpecker amoung others have good deals but they get you pretty good with shipping. Amazon should be blowing out Gross in the future I would think.

While $34 is ok price individually, as part of 2450 clamp set i have got (2) 50s and (2) 24s plus block set in kit for under $70 in the past.

GaryA, agree Jets are the bomb. However I at $60 for 2440 set I loaded up pretty good on the Besseys! BTW, Rockler sells the Jet kit you are talking about in their stores for $99 very regularly.
