Just ordered one!. Was going to pull the trigger on the fence but I already have Craftsman Pro fence. lets see whether I can mount that on this top.

Does anyone know if this works with the Jessem Rout-R-Lift FX? I think it doesn't, but I'm in denial. I ordered the top anyway.

BD openings are 8.25 x 11.75 (smaller than average). Jessem FX is 9.25 x 11.75. This is a good thing. You will simply need to take a straight edge guide and a straight bit to the top to open it up remembering to create a lip for the router lift to sit in.

Thanks, Jeff. I was thinking it will have to be something like that, but I wasn't sure how advisable it was to do it (I have the template for the Jessem lift). Now I feel better.

Phenolic is nasty stuff to route but it is just like routing really hard wood. Smells nasty almost burning smell.

Uhm, I think I'm confused. I thought I should route the top itself (it's laminated MDF) to accommodate the Jessem lift? You think I should route the lift instead?

Newbie Q: Does a router need a separate table or can it be added to a TS table?

It would save a lot of room if I can add a router to a TS I want to buy (see link): http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=32704
What if there is no tomorrow?....there wasn't one today!

A router table top can be added to a TS. It requires that the rails be extended to the right or left (usually right) to hold the table. There are a number of ways to do this. I have one mounted on the right side of my C-Man 22114. You must also have a method of attaching the top to the rails. I am sure if you do a search of this site for this issue you will turn up a lot of posts and pictures. It is not hard to do, especially if the rails for your fence have extra length already.

I also have a separate router table, its a long story.

Dear Lord no! Sorry, I thought the top was phenolic!

Whew. I had a little bit of a panic moment there.

So that's settled. Now all I have to worry about is the cabinet for the top.

Be sure to use the Bench Dog fasteners to attach the top to your cabinet--there's something in the warranty about this.

I guess I'll have to wait for the top to get here before I make some grand plans about the cabinet. I suppose the fasteners come with the top...? Will try to dig out manuals/documentation now.

The price is back up to $129. Good pull to all those who nabbed one at that insane price!
