Woodcraft also has just the rollers for 39.99 and you can get them for 15% off with the new cupon, that puts them at 33.00 + tax. Im going to pick up a set this weekend. They will be a direct bolt on to a TS3650 fence.

That's a good deal if don't need the track and mounting board. You'd have to pay an extra $20 for an equivalent kit. My local rockler is having a sale this weekend for 25% any single item which would bring down the board buddy they carry to $30 but they still charge the extra $20 for the mounting kit.

I dont find the need for one. There is an adjustable spring that you could make very firm. Though Im sure it would only help to use a fb also.

Thing is if you have a wide board you cant use a feather board on the horizon.
Basically these do the work of 4 featherboards, both vertical and horizontal on the infeed and outfeed.

          board mates

It looks as though these might be in the way when trying to push the board thru.

          thanks, John

Perhaps a bit on thin rips, but any feather Board in the vertical position gets in the way a bit.
The yellow and orange are unidirectional, you can let go and walk around the other side to pull it along. Thats how well it holds.

If your really concerned with this, all you need is a thin or sacrificial push stick.

Sold Out! Has anyone called them to find out the scoop (ETA or if they'll take a backorder)?

I had a set of board buddies but I did not care for them.

I made my own mounting blocks using a router mounted in the table. Some of Jeffs tnuts and spindle knobs and I was in business.

I like my Board Buddies for handling larger or longer work from a distance, but they do have limitations on thin rips with a splitter or riving knife in place. Frustrating at first, but you do get used to what you can and can't do with them. I use a thin plastic push stick for most cuts. They do make using a Grrripper a PITA, so I use the Grrripper instead of the Board Buddies on thin rips.

Mine were delivered and installed yesterday. They are very well made and easy to install. Folks with t-slots on the top of the fence, like the Ridgid TS3650, will have 2 nice 12" pieces og t-track left over for other projects.

I think the mounting blocks are definitely needed for the TS3650.
