So 3 hp, left tilt, mobile base... for $854 is at least as good a deal--isn't it?--as many of us got with + Router lift, - Mobile Base.

Equiping "our" saw w/ mobile base is extra $95 (on sale w/ delta base) = $1171

This saw is in effect $317 less expensive and gives up the router lift, which may be worth around that much--so breakeven--or better as it is LEFT TILT which folks seem to value higher.

(Hmmmmm... should I change my order?! No I won't because I will never separately cough up that much money for a real router lift... keeping what I ordered is the only way I'd get one! )

So, if you missed the first go-around seems like you should scoop this one up!
          Never met a bargain I didn't like.

This looks like a better deal than previous one on the 50" fence, especially if you were looking for a left tilt saw. If you really want a router lift, you can buy the same one that came with the other deal for $210, and you come out at the same price with the free mobile base. If the mobile base isn't any good as some of the reviews point out, you won't be any worse off than the other deal, and you could probably use that base for a lighter tool.

Just thought Id mention that I got 20% off on 2 different Jet JTAS saws.
I asked if I could have 20% off using the may code, and they gave it to me.
Since they gave it to me on one, I asked for them to match the discount on the 2nd purchase.
It took several days to get the credit as I do everything thru email, and most times I dont get any answer till I email 2 to 3 times.
Most of the time I get shot down when I call them for something like this.

Its probably very much a YMMV deal, but I suppose it cant hurt to ask for the 20% off on your JTAS orders.

                    PS.

I should add that when this promo was released, it was displayed on many different item pages, several days later the promo started disappearing from those pages...

                    From Terms and Conditions:

                    Promotional offer valid April 24, 2007 - May 28, 2007.
Items placed in Shopping Cart overnight may not be eligible for promotion at time of checkout.
Promotion applies only to qualifying items displaying the offer message on their product information pages.
Items that do not display the offer message do not qualify, regardless of the nature of the item

                      I am going to a very bad place . . . .

Thank you for writing to Amazon.com to bring this to our attention.

I'm sorry your order total was calculated incorrectly. Upon
investigating your order, I found that it did qualify for the
                      promotional discounts you mentioned.

We will be glad to issue a refund of these additional charges.
Unfortunately, because you are not charged until an order ships, we
cannot issue a refund just yet. We ask that you contact us again
after the entire order has been shipped and request a refund.

When you have received our e-mail confirming that your order has
shipped, please reopen this message and click the link at the
bottom. You will be directed to a web page where you can paste a
copy of the cost summary from your original order confirmation
e-mail. We will make sure to request the appropriate refund to your
credit card for the excess amount you were erroneously charged.

I hope this solution is satisfactory. Once again, I apologize for
                      this inconvenience.

Thank you for your patience in this matter, and thanks again for
                      shopping at Amazon.com .

I got the same response, but the only item that qualified was the blade, so they refunded me $12.00. Is that what you guys were refunded?

Hmmm. Good question. I will have to follow up.
