I can't wait to see all these new saws set up! There maybe a need for

www.jet708713XKJTSA1030central.com . . . . then again it just doesn't have the same ring to it does it?

On the issue of rails, you can always move the rails to the right. Looks like the Xacta fence has a lot of tube left of the blade. Just move and redrill the rails/tubes.

I jumped on that so fast, I just noticed that they have the same saw with the 50" rails, legs, and a router lift for $1076. Not a bad deal there either.

I am glad I figured out how to code BT3 into the post so BT3 gets credit! Should be a good month for BT3!

Thanks for the heads up Jeffery. I had been going back and forth trying to make up my mind on which version of the Grizzly 1023 to buy. This is a killer deal. $900 for for a 3hp cabinet saw! That's less than 1-3/4hp "Intermediate Saw". Now I have about a week to come up with an explanation for LOML why I couldn't pass this up! Thanks again.

As noted up the page, this one normally retails for around $1300. So this is pretty killer.

The one factor you might consider is that it has a 30" fence system, rather than a 50". If you're going to get a cabinet saw, and plan the construction of a new shop around it, you'll want the larger 50" rip capacity. At the time you buy a cabinet saw, that's usually only a $100-200 upgrade from a 30". Later, it'll cost you quite a bit more (not sure how much more). Technically, the fence itself can be retained; you'll only need the longer rails. Alternatively, you could sell the entire 30" system and recoup part of the cost of the 50" system.

Another factor is that you might have room for this 30" saw NOW, in your current shop. It also might take you longer than a year to get your new one built. (One year is LONG TERM?!? Heck, it takes me at least a year to figure out what my plan is, let along actually execute that plan. )

Happy Birthday, I just bought myself a new saw!

Jeffrey, do you have any extra room at your place... not for the saw... for me to hide from LOML!

How does this compare to other cabinet saws?

    Thanks!
It is a great deal on this saw. This saw is equiv to Uni. If you are waiting until you build a shop you will likely run across one or two equal deals but not better deals IMHO. Amazon has sold Uni w/o fence for $699 and with fence for $799 this year. They were very, very limited quanitites and once they were gone they were gone. There was a dealer blowing out these jets for $999 + shipping and a TON of folks on Sawmillcreek and Woodnet bought them and love them. THis is a better deal.

As a point of comparision and equal Grizzlyt would cost more delivered than this saw.

    $1300 correct!

240v correct! (though if you want to swap it for my 1.75 HP 110V from my 22124 I'd be all about that!)

It appears the deal continues, showing shipping date of 2-3 days. Also forgot to mention free Freud blade with any saw over $300 from Amazon.
